Perception is an act of fusion and reunification
Interactive installation 2005, mirrors, beamers, cameras and lamps.
The installation consists of a 2m*1,75m big frame with 2 cm stripes of doublesided mirrors
placed vertically with 2 cm space between each.
Two cameras film from the two sides of the frame and two beamers project the two sides on to the wall in the gallery. What is seen through the mirrors in one of the projections is seen between them in the other. The room and the public is cut up in stripes and placed together. When in the room facing the frame, an optical illusion occur if there is someone on both sides of the mirrors. To visually distinguish ones`s body from the body on the other side is difficult, the brain reads them as one figure.
